Ride for Rainbows 29 Apr 2017

Ride for Rainbows is a flagship night cycling fundraising event organised by Club Rainbow (Singapore) since 2012. This event aims to raise public awareness as well as funds to support children who suffer from a range of major chronic and potentially life-threatening illnesses and their families.

This year, Team GMC, apart from sponsoring the event, also took part in the 25km ride as well as volunteering as station masters. Check out the photos of the event below! Well done Team GMC!

69th Independence Day of Sri Lanka 6 Feb 2017

GMC is honoured to be invited by H.E. Nimal Weeraratne, High Commissioner of Sri Lanka, to take part in the celebrations to mark the 69th Independence Day of Sri Lanka which falls on 4 Feb 2017. Together with the Guest-of-Honour Dr Janil Puthucheary, Minister of State, Ministry of Communications and Information & Ministry of Education, Singapore and Sri Lanka reaffirms the strong bilateral ties and we look forward to many excellent years of co-operation ahead.

7th FDW DAY 2016

GMC is pleased to be taking part in this annual celebration to recognise the contributions of the FDWs. GMC/AEAS Appreciation Lunch 26 Oct 2016

GMC is pleased to host AEAs to an appreciation lunch on 26 Oct 2016. GMC and AEAs have been enjoying mutual co-operation over the years to increase the level of training quality to FDWs and thereby promoting the professionalism and enhance the image of the AEAs and its esteemed members.

GMC looks forward to many more good years of co-operation with AEAs.

Climb for Rainbows 8 October 2016

Following the success of Ride for Rainbows, GMC is proud to be a sponsor for the inaugural Climb for Rainbows. The aim of this event is to raise awareness as well as funds to support the families of children who suffer from a range of major chronic and potentially life threatening diseases. We hope to be able to support and be part of the beneficiaries’ journey in their pursue of rainbows!

This year, GMC is proud to sponsor Club Rainbow in support of its annual event Ride for Rainbows. More than just raising funds, one of the key goals of organising Ride for Rainbows is to drive greater public awareness for Club Rainbow (Singapore).

Set up in 1992, Club Rainbow (Singapore) is a non-profit organisation with a mission to provide compassionate relevant services to the families of children who suffer from a range of major chronic and potentially life-threatening illnesses. FAST 3rd Education and Health Fair 29 May 2016

GMC is pleased to be a valued partner of FAST in the annual Education and Health Fair held on 29 May 2016 at 10 Raeburn Park. GMC’s booth saw many interested FDWs signing up for our skills upgrading courses like Infant Care, Elderly Caregiving courses etc. GMC is committed to provide these courses at very affordable fees so that more FDWs can benefit from such trainings and in turn benefit their employers.

Minister of State for Manpower visits GMC

Minister of State for Manpower, Sam Tan paid an official visit to GMC on 4 Dec 2015 to find more about the SIP. Accompanied by officers from the Ministry of Manpower, MOS toured our Learning Centre and observed FDWs learning and practicing how to clean window safely.

“I am very happy to know that first-time Foreign Domestic Workers (FDWs) are taught about their employment rights and well-being conditions during the Settling-In Programme (SIP). Education is key to help FDWs work effectively and safely, and at the same time, safeguard their well-being.”
