Purpose and Target Audience

Objective: The CEI (Basic) course aims to equip Employment Agency (EA) personnel with the fundamental knowledge of key employment laws and regulations in Singapore. This ensures they understand their legal obligations and can properly advise clients on their rights and responsibilities.

Target Audience: This course is designed for other EA personnel/staff (such as administrative or general staff) who are performing EA-related work, as opposed to Key Appointment Holders (KAHs), who must take the CEI (KAH) course.

Requirement: EA personnel working for EAs that hold a Comprehensive Licence (All, non-MDW, or Local) are required to attain this certificate.

Course Variations and Duration

CEI Basic course is offered in three variations, corresponding to the scope of the EA’s licence:

Mode of Training and Certification

Training Mode: GMC offers this training through Classroom or Synchronous e-Learning format, which is an online virtual classroom via Google Meet.

Certification: Participants must achieve a minimum attendance rate of 75% to receive a Certificate of Attendance for the course.

SkillsFuture Credit: Singapore Citizens aged 25 and above may be able to utilise their SkillsFuture Credit to pay for the course fees.

UTAP: UTAP is a training benefit for NTUC members/ NTUC Starter members to defray their cost of training. Our CEI courses are eligible for UTAP funding.
